Note for parents

What’s happening

Pretend play is getting elaborate. Your toddler might run a whole restaurant out of their play kitchen. Their vocabulary is over 50 words, and they're starting to grasp the difference between "mine" and "yours," even if sharing is still hard. Jumping with both feet off the ground is a new physical milestone. Watch for it, because they'll want you to see every single jump.

For you

Every jump they land, they look at you first. You're still the person whose reaction matters most. Hold onto that.
