What’s happening
Welcome to the age of big feelings. Tantrums are normal right now because your toddler has strong opinions and almost no ability to express them calmly. Pretend play is expanding. They might stir a pot with a spoon or pretend to feed you. They're saying at least three words beyond mama and dada, and they follow simple verbal instructions well. This is a busy, loud, wonderful stage.
For you
Tantrums are hard on everyone. But when they pass, your toddler comes back to you for comfort. You're their safe place. That means everything.
