What’s happening
Your toddler is trying to run, and it looks more like a controlled stumble, but they're committed. Vocabulary is picking up speed now. You'll notice new words appearing almost daily. When you read books together, they'll point at pictures and want you to name things. They're also trying to use a spoon by themselves, which is messy and slow and exactly how they learn.

The mess at mealtime when they try the spoon themselves? That's independence growing. Wipe the floor later. Right now, let them try.
