What’s happening
Your baby's babbling is starting to sound like actual conversation. They'll string sounds together with the right rhythm and tone, and you'll swear they just said a full sentence. Pat-a-cake and other clapping games are a hit because your baby loves imitating you. They're also cruising along furniture now, shuffling sideways while holding on, building toward those first independent steps.

Almost a year. Think about where you were eleven months ago and where you are now. You've changed as much as your baby has, even if it doesn't feel that way.
