What’s happening
"Mine" is becoming a favorite word, and that's actually healthy. Your toddler is learning they're a separate person with their own things. Parallel play is happening, where they play next to other kids but not really with them yet. They're combining gestures with words, like pointing at the fridge and saying "milk." Climbing on furniture is a daily hobby now, and they can scribble with a crayon if you give them one.
For you
The word "mine" might drive you a little crazy, but it means your toddler has a sense of self. That's a real milestone, even when it's inconvenient.
