Draw a simple map of a room and mark where a 'treasure' (favorite toy or snack) is hidden. Help toddler follow the map. Builds spatial thinking.
Say a word and find words that rhyme: 'Cat, hat, bat!' Make it silly - made-up words are fine. Toddlers love the sounds and it builds phonological awareness.
Stand close and toss a large, soft ball to toddler. Encourage them to catch with both arms. Gradually increase distance as they improve.
