Arrange furniture so baby can cruise from one piece to the next. Place favorite toys just out of reach to encourage movement. Always supervise and pad sharp corners.

Point to objects around the room and name them clearly. 'That's a lamp! That's a window!' Baby will start pointing too and learn to associate words with things.

Create a board with different textures - smooth, rough, soft, bumpy. Guide baby's hands across each one and describe what they feel.
