Lay baby under a play gym with dangling toys. They'll bat at them, building hand-eye coordination and arm strength.

When baby coos, coo back. Take turns making sounds. This back-and-forth teaches conversation patterns before they can say words.

Make exaggerated facial expressions: big smiles, surprised looks, silly faces. Baby is learning to read and copy faces. Get close so they can see clearly.
