Use colored blocks, pom poms, or balls and sort them into matching colored bowls. Name each color as you sort. Start with just 2 colors.

Visit a playground and help baby try the slide, swings, and low climbing structures. Supervise closely and narrate their actions: 'You're climbing up!'

While reading books, ask simple questions: 'Where is the cat?' 'What color is the ball?' Give baby time to point or answer. Build on whatever they say.
