Always place baby on their back to sleep. Use a firm, flat mattress with a fitted sheet only. Keep the crib bare: no loose bedding, toys, or crib bumpers.
Never shake a baby. If you feel overwhelmed, put baby down in a safe place and take a break. Shaking can cause brain damage or death.
